Dr. Duane Birky, M.D. received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He began his career 20 years ago in Columbus, IN where he practiced for 7 years before moving to Florida for 2 years and then to his present practice in Fort Smith where he’s been since 1999. Dr. Birky is part of Sparks Accredited Stroke Team, the Medical Director of 2 local sleep labs, the first boarded sleep physician in the area, double boarded in Sleep Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Birky is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Society of Neuroimaging, American Medical Association, American Society of Neurorehabilitation and American Society of Movement Disorder.
Dr. Birky enjoys stocking his elaborate aquarium with exotic saltwater fish, doing home improvement projects, experimenting with unusual recipes, and attending the Fort Smith Symphony and other performing arts.
