A native of Murfreesboro, Ark., Dr. Terrell graduated with honors from medical school at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In 2011, he completed his urology residency in a chief resident role at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
As a child, Dr. Terrell was inspired to become a physician when his cousin was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a type of childhood bone cancer. Though his cousin eventually lost his battle with the cancer, Dr. Terrell wanted to become a physician to help people, like his cousin, who suffered from serious medical conditions.
Dr. Terrell works both in pediatrics and adult urology and has a wide range for his scope of practice including kidney and prostate cancer, surgical removal of the kidney, treatment of kidney stones, treatment for erectile dysfunction, penile implants, and prostate enlargement. He is also trained in robotic surgical procedures and plans to do prosthesis and slings in his practice. Dr. Terrell previously worked with Arkansas Urology, P.A. in Little Rock.
He and his wife Andrea were both born and raised in Arkansas. The couple has an 18-month-old son. Andrea also has family in Fort Smith and is very excited about being able to live near them again. Dr. Terrell’s interests outside of his practice include spending time with his family, hunting and watching movies.
