Fox Brings 21 Years' Experience to Sparks Plaza Outpatient Clinic

Beckie Fox joins Sparks Regional Medical Center as an occupational therapist. She will assist in expanding the program at the center at the Outpatient Therapy Clinic at Sparks Medical Plaza.

A Texas native, Fox most recently worked in Wasilla, Alaska. She has 21 years’ experience in treating injuries and surgical repair of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder for multiple conditions, cancer rehab, energy conservation, stroke rehab and visual perceptual and cognitive deficits, as well as ADL/IADL deficits.

Fox is certified in Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) for lymphedema utilizing manual lymph drainage (MLD) and compression bandaging (CB) using the Vodder technique.   This specialty area is used for survivors of breast, cervical, prostate, testicular, thyroid, tonsil cancers with lymphedema and for training and education in knowing what to look for in prevention or management of lymphedema.  This treatment is also used for trauma and surgical edema or lymphedema that is resistant to other methods as well as venous insufficiency in preparation for surgery or after.
