Sparks Health System partners with the Bereaved Parents of the USA organization to provide local site for observance

A candle lighting ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in honor of National Children’s Memorial Day.

The inter-faith memorial candle lighting ceremony will be held in the Shuffield Education Center inside Sparks Regional Medical Center on Towson Avenue.

Bereaved Parents of the USA is a national organization that supports parents and families who have lost a child. The group is encouraging participation in every time zone to create a virtual wave of light across the globe.

The public and media are invited to attend the ceremony.

The Western Arkansas Chapter of Bereaved Parents of the USA meets the third Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House, South M Street. For more information, please call 479-420-9634.
