Application counselors will be available to help from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, March 21, in the Shuffield Education Center inside Sparks Regional Medical Center on Towson Avenue.
The Affordable Care Act requires that most Americans obtain health insurance by March 31, 2014, or pay a tax penalty. The penalty will be applied to a resident’s annual taxable income for each month the person does not have health insurance after that.
Based on household income and dependents, you may be eligible for health insurance coverage at no cost through Medicaid or you may be eligible for new health insurance on the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Our application counselors can help you determine which option is best for you. No registration is required for the free event and participants will be helped on a first come, first served basis.
Unable to Make It?
If you are unable to attend, you can still call to make an appointment with our application counselors at both Sparks Regional Medical Center and Summit Medical Center. To make an appointment for sign-up help, call (479) 441-5662 in Fort Smith or (479) 471-4532 in Van Buren.
