FORT SMITH, AR (April 19, 2013) – Sparks Health System is pleased to announce a new administrator is now at the helm of our clinics.
Effective April 15, Kyle Thornton is now serving as Group Administrator for Sparks Clinic. The position includes oversight of day-to-day operations for the nearly 50 multi-specialty clinics affiliated with the Sparks system, including Summit Medical Center clinics. Thornton is responsible for working with physicians and health system administration to ensure success of Sparks physician practices.
With more than a decade of experience in the healthcare industry, Thornton has previously served as an administrator for multi-specialty practice groups in North Carolina, Florida and Texas.
Thornton earned both a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in public health with an emphasis on healthcare administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Sparks Health System includes Sparks Regional Medical Center, Sparks Clinic (an employed multi-specialty physician group), Sparks PremierCare physician-hospital organization, and the fully hospital-integrated Marvin Altman Fitness Center.
