FORT SMITH, AR (July 29, 2013) – Sparks Health System and Summit Medical Center are pleased to welcome back a familiar face to the role of Chief Financial Officer for the Arkansas Market of Health Management Associates Inc.
David Rothenberger has accepted the position to oversee Sparks and Summit finances, effective August 1. The role also includes the additional responsibility of managing finances for the company’s Texas and Oklahoma markets.
Rothenberger has more than 25 years of experience with hospital financial operations. He previously served as Arkansas Market CFO in 2010, before overseeing finances for Health Management’s Division Two and Florida Group.
A graduate of Louisiana State University – Shreveport, Rothenberger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Rothenberger replaces Richard Boone, who in April was promoted to overseeing Operations/Finance for the Southern and Western Group of Health Management facilities, which includes Sparks and Summit.
