FORT SMITH, AR (April 19, 2013) – Sparks Health System is proud to announce we are receiving state recognition for our clinics’ dedication to quality patient care.
The Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care honored Sparks Clinic with a Silver Award as a part of the organization’s annual Quality Awards program. The Quality Awards recognize improvement in individual health care facilities’ performance in quality improvement projects.
To receive the Silver Award, Sparks Clinic was required to satisfy two of the four physician office award criteria, which include: attesting to meaningful use of an electronic health record system, adopting and utilizing population and care management methods and participating in data reporting quality initiatives. For patients, this means Sparks Clinic is committed to investing in technology to provide the best possible patient outcomes.
Awards were presented by the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care during its annual Quality Conference in Little Rock April 5. In 2012, Sparks Clinic was honored by the foundation with a Platinum Award for quality improvement.
Sparks Clinic is an employed multi-specialty physician group with nearly 50 clinic locations in the Arkansas River Valley.
In addition to Sparks Clinic, Sparks Health System includes Sparks Regional Medical Center, Sparks PremierCare (PHO) and the fully hospital-integrated Marvin Altman Fitness Center.
