From its opening in April 2004, the Skin Shoppe, located inside the Arkansas/Oklahoma Dermatology Center in Sparks Medical Plaza, has helped many people, both women and men, with skin, hair and nail products.
The shop carries many skin-care products that can be bought only in a physician’s office. In addition to products that help with acne, the shop carries products for everything from cream specifically for heels and elbows to hair-removal products and a bleaching agent for age spots, not to mention one containing retinal that works on fine lines and wrinkles. Most products are readily available for purchase, although a few do require a doctor’s prescription.
New products at the shop include Colorescience Mineral Make-Up, a line featured in current magazines and sold only in a physician’s office or high-end spa.
The Skin Shoppe offers a variety of skin services and products.
Featuring custom-designed facials for all skin types:
- Dry, flaky, dehydrated skin - TNS Hydrating Masque
- Oily, congested and/or acneic skin - Purifying Masque treats
- Dry, irritated and sensitive skin - Calming Masque
Clients may also choose the Vitalize Peel that is clinically proven to improve skin’s texture and tone and to lessen fine lines.
Laser treatments are available for hair removal, acne ablation and skin rejuvenation. Waxing services can target eyebrows (including shaping and defining), the lip or the chin — or the whole face.
Clients may visit the shop anytime during its regular business hours, but services such as facials, peels, etc. are available by appointment only.
