EVERY SECOND COUNTS
...when you have a stroke (also known as a brain attack). In the tick of a clock, 32,000 brain cells die when a stroke strikes... 1.9 million for every minute you wait. If you believe you or someone you know is suffering from stroke, it's important to seek medical care right away at a medical center that specializes in stroke - a Certified Primary Stroke Center - like Sparks Regional Medical Center.
Sparks has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers. The hospital follows national standards and guidelines published by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association for stroke care. Less than 1% of all hospitals in the United States have received this certification.
Sparks has also been named a "Top Stroke Center" by the American Heart Association.
Furthermore, Sparks Stroke Care is rated #1 in the state of Arkansas for both medical excellence and patient safety according to the Delta Group’s CareChex research for 2011. When compared to all hospital stroke care programs nationwide, Sparks Stroke Care is ranked in the top 2% for medical excellence and the top 3% in patient safety, according to CareChex.
TELEMEDICINE STROKE PROGRAM
