Surgical Procedures
Face and Head Procedures
Dermal Filler Injections
Dermal filler injections fill facial lines, plump lips and diminish wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery can tighten droopy, puffy or wrinkled skin to create a smooth, rested and youthful appearance.
Eyebrow Lift
Eyebrow surgery results in a more youthful appearance by lifting droopy brows that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired.
Facelift (Rhytidectomy)
Facelift surgery rejuvenates and improves facial contours by tightening facial tissue by excising skin and fat and repositioning the skin.
Skin Procedures
Skin Cancer Excision
Simple surgical excision is the most common method used to treat both primary and recurrent skin cancer tumors and other tumors and skin lesions.
Body Procedures
Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)
An arm lift is done to remove loose skin and excess fat in the upper arm to create a more toned arm appearance.
Liposuction
A surgical procedure in which fat is removed through a vacuum-like process. The goal is to improve the contour of the area.
Non-Arthritic Hand Surgery
Hand surgery includes injuries to the nerves, tendons, and bones of the hand; carpal tunnel release, trigger fingers, ganglia, Dupuytren’s contracture, etc.
Thigh Lift
The thigh lift procedure removes excess skin and fat from the inner thighs. This surgery is often performed after major weight loss.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
During a tummy tuck, excess fat and skin are removed. Once removed, the muscle fascia is tightened, and the remaining skin is repositioned to give the abdomen a flatter contour.
Breast Procedures
Breast Augmentation
Breast Augmentation involves using implants to enlarge the breasts or to restore breast volume. Dr. Alderson most often uses a saline-filled Mentor Spectrum® implant, which is a technologically innovative design that allows him to adjust the size of the breast implant for up to six months after surgery. In a simple office procedure, surgeons can add or remove saline to adjust the final size of the breast implant until the desired effect is achieved.
Cost (facility, implant, surgeon): $4,000
Silicone gel implants look and feel like natural breast tissue. These implants have set volumes.
Cost (facility, implant, surgeon): $5,060
In some cases, the nipples are too low and a breast lift (mastopexy) is recommended in addition to an implant.
Cost range: $5,640-$6,120
Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
A breast lift procedure raises the nipples, removes excess skin and tightens the surrounding tissue to reshape the new breast contour. Breast lift surgery does not significantly change the size of the breast.
Cost range: $3,280 - $3,860
Breast Reconstruction
Breast reconstruction is achieved through several plastic surgery techniques that attempt to restore a breast to near normal shape, appearance and size following mastectomy. It can be done at the same time as the mastectomy, or 6 months or later after the mastectomy. Dr. Alderson most commonly uses saline-filled implants for tissue expansion. Some patients choose to have a silicone gel-filled implant placed after the tissue expansion is done. Some patients also choose to have nipple reconstruction. Some cases may also require the use of tissues from the back or tummy in the form of a flap.
If only one breast is reconstructed, insurance will often cover opposite side procedures in order to have a more even outcome in appearance.
Breast Reduction
Breast reduction surgery removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body and to alleviate pain in the neck, back and shoulders due to overly large breasts. Insurance will sometimes cover the cost of breast reduction when associated with pain and discomfort.
Cost: (surgeon, anesthesia, facility, lab) $4,920 (if not covered by insurance)
