At the Nancy Orr Family Center, we've helped bring over 160,000 babies into the world, and each one has been a unique and rewarding experience. Everything in the Nancy Orr Family Center, from pastel bedspreads and handmade quilts to state-of-the-art technology, has been planned for the comfort and safety of your family.
Although each birthing experience is unique, most women about to have a baby share some common needs. They express a desire for privacy; for supportive, caring people around them; for quality time with their newborn and for medical expertise available at every phase of the experience. Our care is designed to meet those needs.
Although each room combines the look and feel of home, all the necessary technical and emergency support are available for virtually any situation that might arise. Our special birthing beds adjust to a variety of positions for your comfort during labor and delivery. Rooms have a recliner, a television and a CD player for your favorite music. Some of the rooms have a large private bath. To safeguard your privacy and to help communicate with your family and friends, we have signs for your door that tells when visiting is inconvenient or may be disruptive to your concentration.
