Sparks encourages fathers and birthing coaches to share the birth experience in caesarian deliveries which take place in a special room located in the Kelsey Birthing Suite. With your physician's approval, your partner is welcome to stay with you to offer reassurance and support. Together you can share your baby's first moments. After delivery, you will be cared for by Family Center nurses and will complete your stay in the Mother/Baby unit just as you would if you had had a non-caesarean delivery.
